Air Conditioner Tune Up

Indoor Unit

  1. Replace customer supplied air filter
  2. Inspect evaporator coil
  3. Clean out trap with brush
  4. Lubricate drive blower motor
  5. Check and tighten belts if applicable
  6. Check amperage draw on motor
  7. Inspect drain line for cracks
  8. Check for proper operation of the thermostat
  9. Turn off humidifier if applicable
  10. Inspect secondary pan for leaks or signs of rust
  11. Inspect attic ventilator for proper operation
  12. Check for proper operation of the thermostat
  13. Inspect ductwork and flexible connections for air leaks
  14. Ring out all safety devices using multi tester / test pressure switches
  15. Inspect all electrical connections inside blower compartment

Outdoor Unit

  1. Clear drain holes at bottom of condenser
  2. Inspect condenser coil
  3. Lubricate condenser fan motor
  4. Inspect fan blades
  5. Inspect contactor points for wear
  6. Clean contactor with electrical cleaner
  7. Inspect electrical connections
  8. Inspect high voltage storage pack for proper operation
  9. Check voltage
  10. Check amperage of compressor and fan motor
  11. Check refrigerant pressures with gauges
  12. Inspect Schrader fittings for leaks
